"From loving yours to destroying yours" - Bajrami harshly criticizes the Government for liberalizing the energy market

LDK MP Hykmete Bajrami has reacted harshly to the way the Government is managing the energy market liberalization process, describing this action as harmful to local businesses and ordinary citizens.
According to her, just yesterday, several Vetëvendosje MPs gathered representatives of chambers and business associations to discuss the increase in energy prices, which have gone up to 260% for around 1300 businesses.
"The businesses' request is simple - to postpone the decision to liberalize the energy market for one year. That's it," Bajrami declared in a Facebook reaction.
However, she criticizes that instead of addressing this specific request, ministers have offered solutions that she describes as absurd.
"Imagine: a metal processor where electricity is 30% of the cost of production, they tell them to insulate the building and help with water conservation. That's all they know or can say, since they don't prioritize local production," she added.
MP Bajrami also criticized the way the Government treats commercial businesses, saying that they justify themselves by the fact that they do not subsidize "corporations that earn hundreds of millions of euros", without understanding that the real impact will be borne by citizens with low incomes.
"Prices will increase, and the prices of the most sold products will increase - the prices of everyday consumer products will increase, but even for citizens, they don't bother," she emphasized.
Bajrami accused the Government of supporting the so-called "energy mafia", mentioning that even Albin Kurti, before becoming prime minister, had spoken about this network.
"From 'love yours' to 'destroy yours and buy from imports', a metamorphosis like this of LVV is unknown in the new political history of Kosovo," said Bajrami.
She also mentioned that during Kurti's government, the trade deficit reached 19 billion euros, while from 2001 to 2021 the total deficit was 38 billion euros.
Finally, Bajrami announced that on Tuesday at 14:00 PM, business associations, ERO, the Competition Authority and KESCO have been invited to a meeting to discuss the situation. /Telegraph/
