The urgent signing that Flick seeks to win the Champions League with Barcelona
Hansi Flick has quickly shown his ambition at the helm of Barcelona. After winning La Liga in his first season, the German coach has already set his primary objective for next season: the Champions League. But for that challenge to become a reality, there is one key element that, he believes, is in urgent need of reinforcement: the goalkeeper.
In recent meetings with the Barcelona board, Flick was adamant that to compete head-to-head with the European giants, the team needs a goalkeeper capable of making the difference at critical moments.
Internal analysis by the coaching staff, reinforced by what happened in this edition of the Champions League, suggests that teams that go far rely on decisive goalkeepers like Gianluigi Donnarumma and Yann Sommer.

The case of Marc-Andre ter Stegen is worrying. Although he is one of the club's captains and a symbol, his recovery from a knee injury has not calmed all concerns.
His inconsistent performance in the latter part of the season has raised concerns about his current ability to compete at the highest European level.
