Warning about cyberattacks against media in Kosovo

A coordinated and sophisticated campaign of cyber attacks targeting media in Kosovo has been detected today.

This was announced by cybersecurity expert Hekuran Doli through a post on social networks.

According to Doli, the attack is spread through a suspicious email from the address mccarthypaula916@gmail.com, which contains a dangerous virus.

"Today a coordinated and sophisticated campaign of cyber attacks targeting the media in Kosovo has begun, which was detected by our colleague Valton Tahiri. An email from mccarthypaula916@gmail.com, which has the content as in the photo, contains a virus that you should not open," Doli wrote.

He called on all media companies that if they have opened the email, to immediately contact their IT administrator or the "Cingerr" team, a company that deals with cybersecurity.

Media in Kosovo have been the subject of direct cyber attacks even a few weeks ago. /Telegrafi/
