"Dukagjini Resort", Rama and the mayor of Lezha present the giant tourist investment on the Shëngjin-Velipoje road

A luxury resort from the “Dukagjini Group” will soon be built next to the new road leading from Shëngjini to Velipojë. Work on the implementation of this project has been underway for several months, and today the mayor of Lezha paid special attention to it during the inauguration of the new road.

"Dukagjini Resort" is an extraordinary architectural project at Rana e Hedhur, in the first kilometers of the new Shëngjin-Velipoja road.

The resort, whose construction work has already begun and is expected to cost around 80 million euros, will have several parts.

While the lower part, by the beach, will be a hotel with around 140 rooms, five restaurants, a wedding hall and a casino, the upper part - accessible via winding roads - will be 20 buildings with 11 entrances, as well as a total of 386 residential units or apartments.

At the inauguration of the new road, the head of the Municipality of Lezha, Pjerin Ndreu, paid special attention to the "Dukagjini Group" project.

"This area has begun to be designed with the best architecture studios in the world, in Europe. One of the resorts, for example, is Dukagjini, which is one of the elite structures. And, the infrastructure comes parallel to the development that we are implementing now and then in this area called the area of Rana e Hedhur, Rrjoll, Velipoja, along with Shëngjin", said Pjerin Ndreu, Mayor of Lezha.

He mentioned "Dukagjini Resort" as one of the pioneering and main investments of what is intended to become an elite tourism area in a few years.

"I think that, together with the infrastructure, this will be the most elite area of Albania. We are here, we will see it and we are convinced of this. It is in the attention of the Government, in the attention of the local government. We have projects, we are discussing them and I believe that we are on the right track to introduce tourism into the momentum of sustainable and long-term development", said Pjerin Ndreu, Mayor of Lezha.

Prime Minister Edi Rama also spoke about investments in this picturesque area of the Adriatic Sea, recognizing the merits of private investors in its development.

"I am very optimistic, very optimistic, considering what Pjerini touched on regarding the stock of new projects, your projects, of entrepreneurship, in Lezha and Shkodra, but also of many others who are not here with you today. Because they are projects of a different generation in all directions. We have gathered and created an absolutely unique network of architects", said Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania.

The "Dukagjini Resort" project, which has taken its initial form, among other things, also provides for mooring space for several types of ships.

This investment, the construction of which began months ago, is intended to be implemented in three to five years.
